RJ's Massage Oil
During the massages, RJ offers a selection oils and a lotion made from corn starch. It is his belief that if you can’t eat it, then you should not be putting it on your skin. The human body absorbs nutrients from the skin. So nutrients placed on the skin get absorbed into the body, blood and make their way to the brain and vital organs. The same can be said of toxins placed on the skin from unnatural, chemical rich lotions and other products. Massage is all about relaxing, detoxifying the body and arriving at an inner peace. RJ uses the very best, top quality edible oils designed to nourish and detoxify the mind and body. The oils currently offered are:

Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Organic Olive Oil
Coconut Oil (fractionated)
Extra Virgin Organic, Raw Coconut Oil
Hemp Seed Oil
Jojoba oil

Oil used during massage gives the best glide. The above mentioned oils give just the right amount of friction and skin penetration. They are all really nourishing and great for the skin. Essence oils can also be added to the base depending on your needs. Included free with the massage are mixes of lavender/tea tree (soothing) or peppermint/tea tree (stimulating).

Also offered is a lotion made from corn starch . This lotion is very cooling and is great during hot summer days. After the massage it totally washes off with water whereas oil takes a bit longer to absorb into the skin. This mixture is also gentle on sensitive skin. Please  inform RJ in advance if you would like to use the corn starch lotion.

The oils are included in the in the price of the massage. However if you would like extra oil to take home  I do offer any combination of oils for purchase.

$8 for a 4oz bottle
or
$14 for an 8oz bottle.
Coconut  Oil contains vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, C and E, folic acid) minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and zinc , among others) and proteins. Pure coconut oil is the best natural skin lotion available. It prevents free-radical formation and the damage it causes. It can help prevent the skin from developing liver spots and other blemishes caused by aging and over exposure to sunlight. It helps to keep connective tissues strong and supple so that the skin doesn’t sag and wrinkle. In some cases it can even restore damaged or diseased skin.

Jojoba Oil
is actually a liquid wax. The chemical structure resembles sebum, the skins own oily secretions, giving it excellent moisturizing and emulsifying properties. It also contains protein, minerals, and myristic acid, an anti-inflammatory agent. It helps to unclog the pores and is believed to have anti-aging properties to it.

Olive Oil is rich in minerals, vitamins and protein. It revitalizes and nourishes the skin. It gives an excellent glide for massage.

Peppermint Essence Oil has a refreshing, bright minty scent. It is uplifting and great for stimulating the muscles. It is good for muscular pain, headaches and mental fatigue to name a few.

Lavender (Organic) Essence Oil is perhaps the most versatile skin-care oil of all because, although it has excellent antiseptic properties, it is very mild on the skin. It is also an excellent wound-healing oil which promotes tissue regeneration in everyday use. It is a valuable oil for all types of skin injury.
It is soothing and acts as an antidepressant. It is great for relieving headaches, acne, allergies, burns, eczema, inflammation, insect bites, and sunburn to name a few.
It has a floral-herbaceous scent, and balsamic-woody undertone.

Tea Tree Essence Oil is a valuable skin-care agent because it has excellent antiseptic, fungicidal, and antiviral properties, yet is very mild on the skin. It can be used for a wide range of specific skin conditions. In a theoretical comparison between tea tree and other antiseptics used for the skin care, tea tree oil came closest to having all the properties of an ideal skin disinfectant. It is an excellent addition to massage, skin and bath oil.

The oil I use will make your skin feel great. After a massage it is recommended to towel off the excess oil and leave the remainder on the skin for a 24-hour period before washing with soap. Also, after the massage, if you soak in a hot/warm bath you will receive additional aromatherapy benefits from the oils on your skin. You won't need soap, because the oil penetrates the skin quickly without clogging pores.

All oils used during RJ’s massages can be purchased for future use. Email RJ for more information on wholesale prices and more detailed descriptions of each oil and its uses along with recipes.
